CONGRATULATIONS to the entire Green Birds organization for capturing their first Tier 2 Championship and their highest competitive title to date. Thanks goes out to all the players, management and coaches who helped make the season easy to play. The team will now compete at the Ontario Provincial tournament in Kitchener-Waterloo (Friday Aug 15th, Saturday Aug 16th & Sunday Aug17th) for bragging rights to see who is Ontarios best Tier 2 team. CONGRATULATIONS to Forwards Osman Buttar and Nick Antony for being named the team's co-MVPs for the playoffs. Both players had very strong playoff performances and were instrumental in the team's Tier 2 Championship success. Antony was the team's leading goal scorer and finished with 5 goals and 1 assist in the playoffs. Buttar completed the round as the team's points leader with 8 points in five games (2 goals, 6 assists). Congratulations to both players!

CONGRATULATIONS to Forward Sajjid Ayubi who captured the Mississauga Division's Tier 2 scoring title. Ayubi put together a very impressive season, playing in every game this season for the first time in his career, while dominating at times opponent's defensive coverage. Ayubi completed the season with 9 Goals and 13 Assists for 22 Points. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Forward Osman Buttar who was able to eclipse the 100 point mark for his career with the Green Birds. Buttar is able to complete the feat in less than 8 years with the club and still looks to add more to his total. His complete dedication to the Green Birds' success as a whole has made him a leader inside the dressing and out on the floor. His place on the team is invaluable and his demeanor is to do anything to win with the club.
